At the start of each day, children are warmly welcomed into school and encouraged to settle quickly into their learning. A morning task is ready for pupils to begin as soon as they arrive, helping to establish positive routines, maximise learning time and ensure a calm start to the day.
Breaktimes and lunchtimes provide valuable opportunities for children to socialise, play and develop positive relationships with their peers. These times are an important part of the school day, supporting pupils’ wellbeing, communication skills and personal development.
After the school day ends, pupils have the opportunity to take part in a range of optional after-school clubs. Information about available clubs is shared with parents and carers each half term, along with details of how to register.
We also offer a Breakfast Club and wraparound care provision to support families and provide children with a safe, welcoming environment before and after school. Further information about these services can be obtained from the school office.
We fulfil the recommendation of being open for pupils for 32.5 hours per week
