Welcome to Beamshaw Class
Year 6 is an exciting and important year, providing pupils with opportunities to take on greater responsibility, deepen their learning and prepare for the transition to secondary school. Through a broad, engaging and challenging curriculum, pupils build on prior knowledge and develop the skills, confidence and independence needed for the next stage of their education.
Throughout Year 6, we place a strong emphasis on personal development alongside academic achievement. Pupils are encouraged to be resilient, reflective and responsible learners who demonstrate our school values in all aspects of school life. We support every child to achieve their full potential, celebrating individual strengths and fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
By the end of Year 6, pupils leave us as confident, capable and well-rounded young people, fully prepared for the opportunities and challenges of secondary school, both academically and socially.
