Welcome to Thorncliffe Class
In Thorncliffe Class, pupils continue to develop strong foundations in Reading, Writing and Mathematics through an engaging, ambitious and nurturing curriculum. Learning is carefully planned to support children as they move from Key Stage 1 into Lower Key Stage 2, building confidence, independence and resilience. Pupils are encouraged to think critically, ask questions and take increasing ownership of their learning. Alongside academic development, there is a strong focus on personal growth, helping children to become responsible, respectful and reflective members of the school community. Through a rich range of experiences across the curriculum, pupils develop the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm needed to succeed in the next stage of their education.
Thorncliffe Class Long Term Plan
Our Long Term Plan shows how the curriculum is taught and organised across the year. As a mixed age class, learning is planned over several cycles to ensure full coverage of the curriculum for all children.
